The Warao Bag is made from the natural fiber of the Moriche palm tree.
The artisans are women from the indigenous Warao community, who inhabit the northeast region of Venezuela. They are part of the project “Mujer Indigena Emprendedora”. This ancestral craft is passed down by generations and has become a source of income and a way to provide for their families.
TARBAY supports this amazing initiative since 2019, to create our WARAO bags, unique pieces of art in limited edition, true jewels made with the sacred moriche palm.
